How amazing it is to live in Atlanta! On May 8th I attended one of my peer’s events at Cafe Circa (www.cafecirca.com). This was my first experience of The Reserve at Cafe Circa which is basically the rooftop of the venue. First I MUST shout out Nicole Garner of The Garner Circle PR Agency! Happy 8th Anniversary! She is doing big things in Atlanta and around the country. Check out www.thegarnercircle.com or The Garner Circle PR on Facebook or @tgcPRagency on twitter. The event was outstanding as usual. The Sweet Suite (www.thecuppyboutique.com), my favorite online cuppy boutique provided the cupcakes. Check out The Black Velvet cupcake which is Red Velvet cupcake but without the red food coloring. SO GOOD!!! One of my favorite bartenders from Dave and Busters, Tarana hooked us up on the drinks and food. The plantains and jerk wings were very good as appetizers. The interesting thing about the event is that we played a game called IF/THEN. When we got there we were asked to pick a card and it either had an IF statement or a THEN statement. We then had to mingle and network with people to find our matching cards. My card was an IF card that said: “IF I were single…” SO,I walked around talking to people and seeing what card they had looking for my match… Low and behold my bestie Kiffany had the THEN card. It said: “THEN I should mingle” This game was really fun because it made people talk to others they wouldn’t normally speak to. I love to network so it was pretty easy for me, but a LOT of attendees said they liked it because it loosened them up. KUDOS Nicole!!!

On another note Demishia (www.lashelledenise.com) and I were rocking hosiery from Havenly Dreams (www.havenlydreams.com)…. More to come…

The sun is shining and a patio is calling me! This weekend is going down!!! Gonna have to try that Krispy Kreme hamburger from the Joystick Bar with my homies! More to come…
I said there was more to come so here it is… I had an AMAZING time at the Schemes and Dreams Foundation Awards and Benefit concert featuring The Robert Glasper Experiment. I actually didn’t know it was going to be this until I got there. I thought I was just going to see the talented Robert Glasper entertain me. I was so wrong! When I got there I heard music and I had to look at my watch to make sure I wasn’t late. There was the band Jazz Future gracing the stage with all that talent. They are a group of HIGH SCHOOL students from several schools in the city. They had a young lady who was killing it on the trombone. Then the Behip All Stars (www.behiprecords.com) came on the stage and it was quite interesting. There was a guy who played the harmonica who was so talented! I also enjoyed Akeem Marable and Lester Walker. The main act of course was The Robert Glasper Experiment. I can only say that if you haven’t experienced this group LIVE, you haven’t LIVED… Seriously. I was blown away by the sheer awesomeness of the group. Robert Glasper is hilarious he keeps the crowd engaged and he is UBER talented. He went from concert piano, to gospel, to jazz, to new age…. I couldn’t get enough. His new album will be coming soon called Black Radio2. They gave us a sneak peek by performing Floetry’s Say Yes for their encore. I sat way in the back but it didn’t matter the show was simply amazing! I love Altanta! For more info on the foundation check out www.schemesanddreams.org More to come…

What I love about the holiday season is how insanely busy my life tends to be. Though I complain about no days off until Christmas, I can’t say I’m not having fun as well as working. I’ve been to several events already this month. Shout out to the Kappa Alpha Sigma chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc for a great scholarship banquet and 25th Anniversary Celebration. Also to the L.E.A.D. Foundation that presented a check to the chapter for the scholarship recipients. Then I had an awesome time at the RED TIE SOIREE on Sunday night. This week is filled with a few more events that I can’t wait to attend. What a life! ADVENTURES ALL AROUND! More to come…
I can’t stop thinking about what an amazing day I had on a MONDAY! I had the extreme pleasure of visiting AutoSpa Bistro in Atlanta on the 17th. This is an amazing concept that everyone HAS to try. At first glance it looks like a car wash but it is SO MUCH MORE! I think I passed it a few times not really paying any attention, but this secret is about to BE OUT! I was invited by a great friend of mine (see his review here http://www.examiner.com/article/uniquely-satisfying-the-auto-spa-bistro) and I was NOT disappointed! The owner, Lamont Bradley, had this ingenious idea to combine an upscale bistro with the option of a car wash or vice versa. He noticed that his customers would drop off their cars at his car wash and go next door to have a bite to eat. What he also noticed was his female clients looked a bit uncomfortable waiting for their car to be detailed. So the bistro is actually female inspired. When I walked in I immediately fell in love with the decor. Not because it was my favorite color, purple… OK maybe because it was my favorite color! But seriously It is so nice! They have a 4star chef who will make ANYTHING that you want. Even if it’s not on the menu. YES ANYTHING! I learned that day that the word bistro means fast service. Well I can say that was a truestatement! I had the french toast of course and it was delicious. They also sent out their world famous onion rings. I haven’t had onion rings that good anywhere. The service was awesome. The manager Patrice and the server Shana were absolutely attentive and not because we were there to review the place but because they are genuinely nice people. I observed them with everyone else and they gave the same impeccable service. Of course we couldn’t leave the place without a drink or two. Yes it was the middle of the day, but, hey, it was my day off! Had a glass of Peach Qream (@qreamofficial) on the rocks and then bought a birthday shot for Patrice which she shared all around! #winning!!!!! All in all the experience was great and I can’t wait to go back! Just a sidenote the bathrooms were awesome they use real towels instead of paper towels. I loved it!
After that lunch which went well into the afternoon we went looking for a dessert place. Stumbled upon Chocolate South (@chocolatesouth) which is located on Marietta Street. The owners there were super nice and the chocolates were to die for! They infuse organic ingredients into the truffles. She uses all georgia based companies. So if you have the Green Tea Truffle which was my favorite, she infuses the green tea from Just Add Honey (@justaddhoney) that is an atlanta based tea company. Amy was super nice and we got to sample some cookies that they were trying to perfect in the kitchen. The ambiance was great and we sat there for over an hour just talking and having fun with Amy coming out here and there to hang with us.
To top off the day, I changed clothes and made my way to Spin on Peters Street for a pre-game drink or two. I believe this is the old Slice that was on Peters street because the menu is about the same. We enjoyed some wings and a Yuengling (the best beer ever) before the Atlanta Falcons Home Opener. After walking over to the Dome from Spin I enjoyed a LONG but exciting Falcons game! So like I said WHAT A MONDAY!!!! Gotta give shouts to Andrew Snorton (@asnorton) who let me tag along with him all day long and experience these great places! I can’t wait for another adventure!
Check out the websites for all of these great places and follow them on twitter or facebook!

And as always there’s MORE TO COME…

So another great time in Atlanta before I officially moved back. The bestie and I made our way to CloudIX Restaurant and Lounge. This spot is so hidden down in the Castleberry area of Atlanta. We were skeptical at first because it’s so hard to find parking on Peters Street, but it was a Sunday and the place is actually located closer to Spring Street. It was unusually crowded for a Sunday night and we got to talk with the manager on duty who doubled as our server since it WAS so busy. He was amazing. The drinks were amazing and the food was on point. We were a little disappointed because they were out of several items on the menu, but we had the infamous Fish Fingers as an appetizer and were floored because they were so good! I could definitely go for that as a meal with two sides! I enjoyed my turkey meatloaf and the bestie had the crab cakes. For dessert I had the brownie since they were out of the red velvet cake (cause everyone KNOWS how I feel about RVC) and the bestie had the peach cobbler. Trust me I should’ve gotten the peach cobbler because it was delicious and the brownie was just so-so. I cannot wait to experience the lounge/music section on the weekend or a select day because I was digging the vibe there. So two thumbs up! Thanks to @atlbitelife and @JodinesCorner for the suggestion!! Follow CloudIX on twitter @cloudixlounge
